Greek National Tourism Organisation (NGTO) Secretary General Panos Livadas said that the agency will launch a promotion at the 2013 IBT travel trade show in Berlin next month to lure more visitors.
At a presentation of NGTO’s tourism promotion campaign at the Acropolis Museum in Athens, Livadas said that Greece’s schedule over its participation in major travel fairs in 2013 will be finalized by the end of March, at the same moment that next year’s planning will be launched as early as this summer
He also highlighted the fact that, for the first time, Greece will adopt a unified promotional campaign,outlined in a handbook that will provide specific guidelines to all interested parties, the news agency AMNA reported.
Livadas stressed that the organization is counting ion another new slogan, Greece, All Time Classic, to rev up renewed interest after a big drop-off in tourism in 2012 during constant social and political unrest and images of strikes, protests and riots scaring off potential visitors.
